Mrs. Barbara Jean Gibson

Barbara Jean Gibson- age 85 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. She was a member of Friendly View Baptist Church in Morristown, TN. Barbara was a loving wife to her husband for 55 years. She loved her family, friends, and her church and was a great caretaker to her brother. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Gibson; sister and brother in law, Lou Alice and Dean Lawson; father and mother, Ben Hopper and Mattie Winstead; and nephew, Roger Grant Hensley. She is survived by her brother, Homer Junior Winstead; sister in laws, Clara Ramsey and Mandy (Glen) Saylor; special friends, Roger and Jamie Lawson, and Little Maddox Cannon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 from 5 till 7pm at McNeil Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. J.R. South and Rev. Chris Shanks officiating and music provided by The Collins Family. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 at 10:45am at Winstead Cemetery for an 11am graveside service with Glen Saylor, Neil Lamb, Chad Mabe, Jacob Lamb, Ethan Lawson, and Bryan Lawson serving as Pallbearers.
