Brenda Ann ChannellBorn in Jefferson, NC on a cold winter day February 06, 1950, Brenda Ann Richardson to Goldie Richardson nee Massey, and Cecil Richardson; she was Raised with her two younger brothers, Cecil Garfield Richardson and David Woodrow Richardson in Baltimore Maryland. Always an independent, intelligent, humorous, and kind person. Brenda was first a hairdresser in the 1970's, at which point she got to travel to Hawaii with her co-workers. In the late 1970's she applied to the Baltimore County Police Department, but decided it was not for her. However, she did apply for Baltimore County Fire Dispatch in Towson, MD. Brenda started in 911 Emergency Dispatch, then transitioned to Police Dispatch, and finally Fire Dispatch which she got many commendations and eventually became a Supervisor until she retired. Brenda got married on May 1st 1982 to Christian Estes, and they had their only child, a beloved daughter Rachel on June 24, 1986. The family moved to Felton, PA in 1991. They later divorced in 2000. Brenda many years later cared for her dearly loved mother Goldie who was Jehovah's Witness and after taking her mother to the Kingdom Hall in Pennsylvania, became a Witness herself and met her second husband Bill. They married in 2008, and travelled extensively, moved to Eastern Tennessee and became cherished members of their Kingdom Hall. After her second husband's untimely passing due to cancer 2016, she spent much of her time with her friends at the Kingdom Hall, her daughter Rachel, her son in-law Mikey, and her brother (Cecil) Garfield and his wife. Brenda was diagnosed in late 2019 with cancer but fought it bravely, and with dignity. Brenda passed away in the hospital on November 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, older brother Tommy, younger brother David, her aunts and uncles, and her second husband. Brenda is survived by her daughter Rachel Estes, son in law Mikey Huntley, her brother Garfield, her sister in law Kathy, her nieces and nephews and her friends at her Kingdom Hall. She was a fiercely independent woman, had a wonderful sense of humor, bright intellect, talent for embroidery and deep love for her family and friends.
